I'm Renae Rohde.
All my life my last name has been misspelled and mispronounced.
I also go to a lot of shows/concerts/gigs/whatever you like to call them...now you know where the site name comes from.
In undergrad I minored in music (which included having the opportunity to play violin in a music festival in Alba, Italy, as well as being invited with my choir to sing at Carnegie Hall in New York City). You don't need to have a background in music in order to enjoy it, but I find that it does lend a slightly different perspective...especially when it comes to appreciating the struggles of navigating commercial airlines with fragile and/or oversized instruments.
I'm a self-taught photographer who started off using a phone to take pictures, but now I primarily use a Canon DSLR, a Canon point-and-shoot when venues don't let me bring the pro gear, and a Pentax 35mm film camera. I even develop a lot of my 35mm film at home!
